Trevor Sangrey is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Assistant Dean in the College of Arts & Sciences at Washington University. They advise undergraduate students for four years and coordinate First-Year Academic Programs. Their research focuses on Sexuality Studies, Social Movements, Ethnic Studies, and Historical Materialism, with a particular interest in intersectional histories and queer theory.
They teach courses such as Introduction to Sexuality Studies, Gender and Social Class, and an Intellectual History of Race and Ethnicity. Sangrey actively participates in campus initiatives like the LGBT advisory board and the Prison Education Project. Their publications address topics ranging from communist pamphlet literature to gender theory, reflecting a commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship.
