Prof. Trevor Forsyth serves as Director of LINXS and holds a personal Chair in Biophysics. He has been on secondment to the Partnership for Structural Biology (PSB) at the Institut Laue Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, France, since 2000, where he maintains a Senior Fellowship and leads the Life Sciences Group.
His research centers on macromolecular systems analysis using neutron and X-ray scattering techniques at ILL and ESRF facilities. Key projects examine DNA structural dynamics, DNA-drug interactions, DNA-protein complexes, and synthetic/biological self-assembling systems. His group actively develops advanced methodologies for scattering techniques while leveraging Grenoble's central research infrastructures.
The Integrated Macromolecular Structure Research Group operates within PSB's collaborative environment, utilizing complementary techniques across Grenoble's facilities including the ILL Deuteration Laboratory for specialized sample preparation.
