Treviene A Harris is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. She holds a PhD from the same institution and specializes in Anglo Caribbean literature, Caribbean philosophy, Black studies, and sound studies. Her research explores intersections of postcolonial identity, cultural memory, and auditory narratives in literature.
Her work engages with topics such as Windrush generation histories, musical influences in Caribbean novels, and pedagogical innovations in composition studies. Recent publications include analyses of Marcia Douglas' experimental novel techniques and David Chariandy's literary treatment of sound.
