Trent Teegerstrom

Trent Teegerstrom is the Associate Director of the Tribal Extension Program and an Extension Specialist in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Arizona. He has been affiliated with the university since 1997, previously working with Cornell Cooperative Extension. His work spans agricultural enterprises including dry-land farming, irrigated agriculture, livestock production, and tribal agriculture development.

His research focuses on production economics, risk management, tribal agriculture, and agricultural labor issues. He has contributed to publications on nursery production risks, tax implications for Native American producers, and livestock economics. Awards include the ALVSCE Administrator of the Year (2019) and multiple recognitions for tribal agricultural education.

Teegerstrom has authored or co-authored works on agricultural recordkeeping, risk management education, and curriculum development for agribusiness and money management. He collaborates on projects addressing public health IPM (Integrated Pest Management) in tribal communities and sustainable food tourism strategies.
