The research shows a clear evolution from clinical interventions to broader cross-cultural psychological measurement, reflecting both depth in clinical applications and breadth in international psychological research.
Dr. Aspden has managed significant randomized controlled trials, including studies on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for depression in patients with advanced cancer and in older victims of crime. His project 'Measuring the psychological benefits of experiencing nature' (2021-2022) demonstrates his expanding research interests into environmental psychology.
His collaborative work spans numerous international institutions, as evidenced by his co-authorship on large-scale multinational studies involving researchers from over 65 nations. This global research network has enabled him to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to health and wellbeing.
