Travis Masterson

Travis Masterson is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Nutritional Sciences within the College of Health and Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University. He serves as the Director of the Health, Ingestive Behavior, and Technology Laboratory.

• Education: Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences (Penn State), M.S. and B.S. in Exercise Science (Brigham Young University)

Dr. Masterson’s research focuses on leveraging technology and media to influence eating behavior, with applications in combating adult and pediatric obesity. His work examines food cue responsivity, food selection patterns, and the impact of food marketing on health outcomes.

His research integrates behavioral science with technological tools to develop interventions for improving health. Interests include ingestive behavior, obesity prevention, and the psychological mechanisms underlying food choices.
