Trang Nguyen

Dr. Trang Nguyen is a Full-Time Research Fellow at the Centre for Global Food and Resources within the School of Economics and Public Policy at The University of Adelaide. She holds a PhD in Applied Economics, specializing in behavioral economics with a focus on household food waste behaviors. Her research explores sustainable consumption patterns, waste reduction strategies, and the intersection of economics with environmental policy.

Education:

• PhD in Applied Economics, University of Adelaide (specialization: Behavioral Economics)
• Master's Degree in Agricultural Economics, National Taiwan University

Research Interests: Dr. Nguyen’s work centers on household behaviors related to food waste, sustainable production/consumption, and farmers’ livelihoods. She has conducted projects in Australia, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, emphasizing behavioral drivers and policy interventions.
