Tracy Lin

Tracy Lin, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Health & Aging within the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Nursing. Her work spans health economics, health policy, and global health, particularly in conflict-affected settings and resource-limited environments.

• Education: BA in International Studies (University of Washington), MSc in International Public Policy (University College London), PhD in Health Policy and Health Economics (UC Davis), Postdoctoral Fellowship (UCSF), and a Fellowship in Health Economics (UCSF).

Lin’s research focuses on healthcare disparities, financial toxicity, economic evaluation, and health workforce projections. She integrates behavioral economics into health interventions and has published extensively on topics like dental health systems, maternal care, and emergency care in post-conflict regions.

Her recent publications highlight trends in conflict-affected global health, cost-effectiveness of public health interventions, and health equity in cancer care.
