Tracy Jackson is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh's College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, affiliated with the Usher Institute and Centre for Medical Informatics. She leads patient and public involvement initiatives for the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research (AUKCAR), IMP2ART study, and NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Respiratory Health (RESPIRE).

- Teaching: Supervises honours projects at Edinburgh Medical School; tutors on MSc Clinical Trials and Masters in Public Health programs
Her research focuses on integrating patient and public involvement in healthcare research, particularly for asthma and respiratory conditions. Recent work examines data anonymization in clinical trials, stakeholder engagement in global health, and behavioral factors affecting vaccine uptake. She applies systematic review and qualitative methods to improve healthcare delivery.
Key funding includes grants from the Chief Scientist Office, NIHR, and HDRUK for projects on asthma management, vaccine effectiveness, and hospital readmission prediction. Current supervision includes PhD student Aryelly Rodriguez studying data anonymization.
