Tracy Dahl is an Instructor in Voice at the Desautels Faculty of Music, University of Manitoba, since 1997. She serves as a resident Voice Instructor for Calgary Opera’s Young Artist Program and teaches at San Francisco Opera’s Merola and Adler programs. A renowned coloratura soprano, Dahl has performed with leading opera houses globally, including Teatro alla Scala, Théâtre du Châtelet, and the Metropolitan Opera.
Education includes vocal training at the Banff School of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, Art Song, and Opera, where she studied under Mary Morrison. She also participated in the Merola Opera program in San Francisco.
Research and Creative Works focus on vocal pedagogy, opera performance, and mentorship. She regularly adjudicates Metropolitan Opera auditions and contributes to arts education through masterclasses across Canada and the U.S. Her community work includes fundraising for charities and leading the CIBC Run for the Cure team, raising over $60,000 for breast cancer research.
