Dr. Traci S. Thompson serves as Associate Dean of the Cynthia Ann Parker College of Liberal Arts and Professor of English at Hardin-Simmons University, concurrently leading the English Department since 2010.
Education:

- Master of Arts in English, University of Southwestern Louisiana (1993)
- Doctor of Philosophy in English, University of Southwestern Louisiana (1996)
Research Focus: Her scholarly work centers on American literary traditions and Christianity in literature, evidenced by leadership roles in the American Studies Association of Texas and Southwestern Conference on Christianity and Literature. This interdisciplinary approach bridges faith-based textual analysis with regional American cultural studies.
Professional Leadership: Served as graduate program director for five years prior to departmental leadership, held presidency of the American Studies Association of Texas, and chaired the 2011 Southwestern Conference on Christianity and Literature hosted by Hardin-Simmons.
