Dr. Traci Morris is a Research Professor at Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and serves as Executive Director of the American Indian Policy Institute (AIPI). A citizen of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma, she leads initiatives in Tribal Digital Sovereignty and is set to publish a book on the topic in 2026.

Her research focuses on Tribal broadband access, telecommunications policy, digital equity, and digital sovereignty for Indigenous communities. Under her leadership, AIPI has expanded its impact through tribally driven research and partnerships with organizations like the National Congress of American Indians and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.
Dr. Morris has testified at the Federal Communications Commission and Capitol Hill, co-authored the 2019 Tribal Technology Assessment, and edited the widely used textbook Native American Voices: A Reader. She also contributes to community service via board memberships, including the Phoenix Indian Center and Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums.
