Tracey Holland is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Latin American and Latinx Studies at Vassar College, where she has been affiliated since 2008. She holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University, an MA in International Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a PhD in International Education from New York University.

Her research focuses on international educational development, migration, and human rights. She has extensive experience designing national education programs for UNDP, UNICEF, USAID, and NGOs in Nicaragua, Mexico, Jamaica, and beyond. Notably, she founded a workshop-school for street and working children in Managua, Nicaragua, in the 1990s and created a newcomer program for immigrant students in NYC's Washington Heights. She teaches interdisciplinary courses such as Bilingualism and/in K-12 Public Education and Hello, Dear Enemy: Mounting an Exhibition of Picture Books on Experiences of War and Displacement.
Holland’s work intersects with Media Studies and Women, Feminist, and Queer Studies, reflecting her commitment to social justice. She advises the Ford Scholars Program at Vassar, where students conduct humanities research projects.
