Tracey Collett is an Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Carleton University, within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She holds a B.A. from the University of Ottawa, an M.A. from Carleton University, and a Ph.D. from the Université de Montréal. Her work focuses on Canadian literature, modernist poetry, and publishing history, with particular attention to gender politics and literary networks. Dr. Collett has received multiple teaching awards including the FASS Teaching Award (2007) and Professional Achievement Award (2007-08).
Her research explores Montreal’s role in shaping Canadian modernist poetry, feminist reinterpretations of L.M. Montgomery’s works, and the impact of little poetry presses. She has edited volumes for McGill-Queen’s University Press and organized literary events such as In/Words Open Mic Poetry Readings. Collett’s editorial work includes general editorship of In/Words Magazine and negotiating publication rights for Hugh MacLennan’s novels.
