معرفی
Toshihiko Harada is a Professor at the School of Law, with a focus on legal theory and history. He has been affiliated with the Global Education Center and the Institute of Comparative Law since 1989 as a Concurrent Researcher.
His research interests center on Roman law, particularly familial rights, marital structures, and historical legal doctrines. He explores the evolution of paternity rights, inheritance practices, and comparative jurisprudence through ancient texts.
Harada’s publications from 1996–1997 examine Roman family law, including topics like patria potestas, dowry claims, and the legal implications of the Twelve Tables. These works often bridge historical analysis with modern comparative law frameworks.
He teaches courses on Roman Private Law, History of European Jurisprudence, and Interdisciplinary Study (Language, Law & Society) at the Graduate School of Law, covering both foundational and advanced topics in Roman law.
