Tore Rye Andersen is an Associate Professor of Comparative Literature and Deputy Head of the School of Communication and Culture at Aarhus University. He serves on the university's board and the board of Aarhus University Press. His research focuses on American literary history, materiality/mediality of literature, and the Anthropocene in literary contexts. Key works include Planetary Pynchon: History, Modernity, and the Anthropocene (2023) and numerous articles on digital media and postmodern narrative forms.
His academic career spans roles as project leader for Litteratur mellem medier (2014–2020) and active participation in literary evaluation committees. Research interests bridge traditional literary scholarship with digital humanities, emphasizing global infrastructures' impact on cultural production.
