Torben Bårup Sørensen

Torben Bårup Sørensen is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, affiliated with the SDU Civil and Architectural Engineering school and the Department of Technology and Innovation. His academic career spans over a decade, including roles as Assistant Professor and Consulting Engineer prior to his current position.

• Education: Master in Construction Engineering (2013–2016), Civil Engineer (2002–2005), and prior training in technical fields.

Research interests focus on materials science, structural engineering, and construction technologies, with expertise in CAD software, fire safety design, and masonry structures. He has contributed extensively to teaching, including courses on industrial construction and low-rise housing projects since 2011.
