Kristoffer Negendahl is an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), affiliated with the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering Digital Building Technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in sustainable building design and engineering. His research focuses on developing interoperable tools for sustainable building analysis, energy modeling, daylighting, and lifecycle assessment (LCA), with an emphasis on accessibility for non-experts. Prior to DTU, he worked at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) as lead engineering consultant and co-founded Procedural.build, a software company advancing computational design tools. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and sustainable cities.
**Research Interests**: Consequence-Based Design, integrated dynamic models, parametric design, computational collaborative modeling, and fire safety engineering. Key contributions include advancing parametric modeling for low-emission urban design and defining energy flexibility metrics for building systems.
