Tor Krever is Assistant Professor in International Law at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Law and Fellow at Girton College. His research examines international law through historical and theoretical lenses.
Krever analyzes the pirate figure in international legal thought and anti-imperial legal movements. Current projects include a book on the pirate concept's emergence in 16th-century merchant capitalism and research on 20th-century anti-imperialism.
He serves as co-General Editor of the London Review of International Law and has conducted human rights work with the UN and Special Court for Sierra Leone.
His articles explore decolonization, peoples' tribunals, and critical approaches to international criminal justice.
