Tonya Shanahan, DNP, FNP-BC, is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Nurse Practitioner Program at Samford University’s Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing. She has been a full-time faculty member since 2017 and serves as Project Coordinator for the Nurse Practitioner Residency grant since 2023. Her expertise includes vulnerable populations, public health, and healthcare delivery systems.
