Tony Giarrusso

Tony Giarrusso is a Part-Time Lecturer in the School of City & Regional Planning at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), part of the College of Design. He also serves as Associate Director and Principal Research Scientist at the Center for Urban Resilience and Analytics (CURA). His specialization is Geographic Information Science and Technology.

• Roles: Teaching introductory GIS to undergraduates since 2004
• Research Focus: Land conservation, coastal/marine resource management, urban planning, and environmental protection
• Leadership: Principal Investigator/Co-PI on >30 projects funded by NOAA, Georgia DNR/DHR, The Nature Conservancy, and others
