Tony Bedogne is a Lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Michigan’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning. He is also a Senior GIS Developer for the City of Ann Arbor, with a two-decade career spanning local government, nonprofit work, and education. His teaching focuses on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and practical applications in spatial technology.
- B.S. in Geography, Eastern Michigan University (2000)
- M.S. in GIS and Land Use Planning, Eastern Michigan University (2003)
Tony specializes in GIS application development, spatial modeling, and systems integration. His work includes cloud-hosted GIS environments, spatial database administration, hydrologic modeling, and map dashboard design for big data visualization. He emphasizes workforce readiness in his courses.
He is a GISP-certified professional since 2007 and serves on the IMAGIN Board of Directors, supporting research, education, and networking for digital mapping professionals. Outside work, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
