Tonja Fisher is a Lecturer in the Department of Entomology at the University of Kentucky's Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. Since joining UK in 2019, she teaches courses including ABT 360 (Genetics), ABT 495 (Experimental Methods in Biotechnology), ENT 220, and GEN 100. She also serves as an ABT/ENT academic advisor, co-director of online MS programs in Entomology, and chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

- B.S. in Biology from Kentucky State University
Her research focuses on molecular analysis of viruses and bacteria associated with insects in symbiotic and parasitic relationships, bridging entomology and biotechnology.
She contributes to academic leadership through committee roles and online program development.
