Dr. Toni Marie Rudisill is an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the West Virginia University School of Public Health. As an injury epidemiologist, her research focuses on transportation safety, substance use, health policy, and rural/underserved populations.

She conducts experimental, observational, and mixed-methods research using driving simulation and statewide program evaluations.
Recent publications highlight trends in cannabis use during the pandemic, ATV/UTV injury legislation, driving anxiety management, and sleep apnea interventions in rural Appalachia. She has secured funding from NIH, CDC, and state agencies for her research.

Dr. Rudisill mentors graduate and undergraduate students and serves as the Department’s PhD Program Advisor. She leads the WVU Health Sciences Center Driving Simulation Laboratory and collaborates with WVU Medicine clinicians.
