Tomáš Valeš serves as Assistant Professor at Masaryk University's Faculty of Arts, where he heads the Center for the Study of the Early Modern Period and teaches in the Art History Seminar. His office is located at building L/213, Veveří 468/26, Brno.
Research interests span Baroque painting techniques, Central European visual culture (1500-2000), social history of architecture, and archival methodologies. Recent work examines artistic workshops as 'laboratories,' church commissions in Moravia, and memorialization practices.
