Tomáš Kubisa is a researcher at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology within the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS), specializing in ethnology and cultural anthropology. He holds a PhDr. degree from Charles University in Prague (2010) and works with scientific archives management.
- Education: Mgr. (2009) in Ethnology and Non-European Studies from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius, Trnava.
His research focuses on folklore studies, cultural ideology, and digital preservation of ethnographic materials. Current projects include digitization of archival texts and studies on 20th-century Slovak ethnology. He collaborates on topics like Third Reich ethnography and Slavic-Aryan spiritual movements.
Recent publications analyze historical ethnographic complicity with authoritarian regimes and digital humanities applications. He works with colleagues such as Andrej Gogora and Gabriela Kiliánová, and has contributed to journals like Slovak Ethnography and Museology and Cultural Heritage.
