Andrej Gogora is a researcher at the Institute of Ethnology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences specializing in digital humanities. He holds a PhD (2012) and Mgr. (2007) from the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University, with a major in philosophy.
His research focuses on digital humanities, digital archive, digital preservation, digital curation, and humanities research methodology. Gogora's work bridges philosophy and digital technologies, exploring how digital methods transform traditional humanities research. His publications demonstrate expertise in Actor-Network Theory, digital ethics, and philosophical implications of digital research, with particular attention to thinkers like Bruno Latour, Gilles Deleuze, and Félix Guattari.
Dr. Gogora has been actively involved in significant research projects including 'Hypermedia artifact in the post-digital era' (VEGA 2/0107/14) as project co-investigator (2014-2017), 'Digital humanities and philosophy' as project researcher (2016-2017), and 'Digital humanities – overview and applications' as project researcher (2014-2015).
He has engaged in pedagogical activities teaching 'Digital humanities and philosophical research' at Universität Passau, Germany (2015/2016), 'Ethics of Digital Culture' at the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra (2015/2016), and 'Methodology of Sciences' at the same institution (2016/2017).
