Tomasz Waliczko

Tomasz Waliczko serves as a Researcher at the Chair of Sustainability and Innovation in Digital Ecosystems within the Rhine-Ruhr Institute of Information Systems at the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Duisburg-Essen.

His research focuses on the intersection of digital technologies and sustainable business practices:

Dr. Waliczko completed his education at the Technical University of Berlin, specializing in sustainability and e-commerce. With extensive professional experience, he has developed expertise through contributions to startups in Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as international projects across Europe and Africa. His work bridges academic knowledge with practical business applications in the digital transformation space.

Complementing his professional work, he maintains a strong commitment to community service and intercultural understanding, having volunteered with the Brazilian NGO Vovo Chiquinho in Vitoria during 2018, where he collaborated with local communities on projects aimed at improving social conditions and promoting sustainable practices.
