Tomasz Raff

Tomasz Raff is a Polish bass and Lecturer at the Faculty of Conducting, Composition and Music Theory of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He concurrently serves as a PhD candidate at the Academy's Doctoral School since 2022 and co-founded the o.to.ja Foundation, where he leads artistic coordination and fundraising initiatives for events since 2015.

He pioneers Mieczysław Weinberg's vocal works through premieres and recordings, while actively collaborating with contemporary Polish composers like Katarzyna Brochocka. His projects frequently examine migration themes and Polish musical heritage, integrating historical performance practices with modern artistic expression.

Raff maintains an international performance career across major opera houses including the Grand Theatre – National Opera and Baltic Opera, with signature roles in Wagner, Mozart, and Moniuszko. His discography features the acclaimed album "Weinberg – Mother Tongue" (2021), and he spearheads interdisciplinary projects such as the migration-themed "neue_heimat: anderswo" (2020) featuring Schubert's "Winterreise".
