Roles & Affiliations: Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting and Program Director at SSE Executive Education, Stockholm School of Economics. Holds a PhD in Accounting from SSE. Participated in the International Teachers’ Programme at NYU Stern (1999/2000).
Research Focus: Behavioral aspects of financial accounting, application of IFRS standards, corporate governance, and financial valuation. Key areas include goodwill accounting, non-controlling interest reporting, and short-termism in corporate strategy. His work bridges theoretical accounting standards with practical corporate behavior.
Teaching & Outreach: Course Director for Executive MBA Accounting modules since 2010. Lectures on corporate valuation, financial reporting, and banking analysis. Coordinated faculty recruitment in accounting/financial management at SSE Executive Education. Awarded Teacher of the Year 9 times and recipient of the inaugural SSE Corporate Partners’ Pedagogical Prize (2018).
Publications: Over 15 academic papers in journals like Journal of International Accounting and Abacus, plus textbooks on financial analysis. Active in working papers on IFRS adoption, corporate valuation comparability, and capital market actors’ use of financial reports.
