Tom Turk is an Interim Dean and Professor of Strategic Management at Chapman University's Argyros College of Business and Economics. After earning his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine in 1988, he served on the faculty of Texas A&M University before joining Chapman in 1992. During his previous tenure as Dean (2017-2022), the college launched an MS in Real Estate, expanded faculty by 50%, and achieved the fastest national ranking growth among business schools.

Professor Turk's research focuses on corporate strategic decision-making, particularly analyzing how market value responds to acquisitions, alliances, hostile takeovers, and diversification strategies. His publications span 2011-2023, covering topics like anticommons resource management, strategic alliance risk assessment, and sustainability-driven governance. These works have appeared in journals such as Academy of Management Journal and Journal of High Technology Management.
As an active consultant, he works with major corporations including Ford Motor Company, Toyota, and Koch Industries, providing expertise in strategic planning, acquisitions, and executive compensation. He also lectures extensively in executive education programs.
