Tom Sterling is a Lecturer in Landscape Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD) and a third-year doctoral student in the DDes program. He is set to become Assistant Professor in Residence at the University of Connecticut's Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture in 2025.
Education:
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), Carnegie Mellon University
- Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) with distinction, University of Edinburgh
Research Interests: Focuses on the epistemological implications of digital transformations in landscape architecture, blending theory with practice through exhibitions and collaborations. His work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Carnegie Museum of Art, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, and Royal Scottish Academy.

Teaching & Experience: Taught architecture and landscape architecture at Kent State University, Boston Architectural College, and University of Connecticut. Previously worked as an exhibition designer, curator, researcher, and designer in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, New York, and Edinburgh.
