Dr. Tom Steele is a Professor in the Department of Physics & Engineering Physics at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Arts and Science. He joined the university in 1992 as an assistant professor and was promoted to full professor in 2000. From 2002 to 2010, he served as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Affairs for the College of Arts and Science.
Dr. Steele received his academic training at Canadian institutions:
- B.Sc. (Honours) in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of Western Ontario (1983)
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of Western Ontario (1988)
- NATO/NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Cambridge (1989)
