Tom Staley

Tom Staley is a Collegiate Associate Professor and Laboratory Manager in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech's College of Engineering. He holds dual Ph.D. degrees: one in Materials Science & Engineering and another in Science & Technology Studies, both from Virginia Tech. His research focuses on the historical and philosophical dimensions of human senses, the evolution of scientific disciplines, and ethical implications of technological advancements.
