Tom Perchard is a Professor of Music and Head of the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, University of London. He specializes in jazz and popular music history, with a focus on cultural and social contexts, postwar domestic audio practices, and interdisciplinary musicology. His research examines the intersection of music with technology, politics, and identity.
