Tom Keinicke Johansen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Space Research and Technology Electromagnetic Systems at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on advanced microwave and terahertz electronics, including technologies like InP DHBT, GaN HEMT, and 2.5D/3D integration for wireless communication and optical applications.
- Research Interests: Bipolar transistors, heterojunctions, millimeter-wave circuits, power amplifiers, balun topologies, and sub-THz integrated circuits.
- SDG Contributions: Active in technologies supporting sustainable wireless communication and energy-efficient electronics.
Scientific Awards:
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship
Projects & Supervision: Supervised PhD projects in wireless communication for hearing instruments, quasi-coherent optical receivers, and terahertz electronics. Currently leads research on InP DHBT sub-THz circuits (2025–2028).
