Tom Archer

Dr. Tom Archer is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) within Sheffield Hallam University's College of Social Sciences and Arts. His work focuses on housing affordability, community-led development, and collective asset ownership. He holds a PhD and has advised UK government bodies on housing policy and funding mechanisms.

With 20 years of experience, Tom has led major research projects including evaluations of the Affordable Homes Programme (DLUHC) and studies on community-led housing models. His interdisciplinary research bridges policy analysis, urban economics, and social equity.
