Dr. Tolulope Bewaji is an Assistant Professor of Business at Asbury University, located in the Walt and Rowena Shaw Collaborative Learning Center (CLC), Office 145. She holds a Ph.D. in International Business and Strategic Management from Temple University, an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and a B.Sc. in Accounting and Management from the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica.
Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, particularly examining cultural, demographic, and economic factors influencing entrepreneurial success. Current projects include studying the impact of corruption and institutional voids on entrepreneurship, as well as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on small independent restaurants in Jamaica. She teaches at both undergraduate and graduate levels in the U.S. and Jamaica, emphasizing practical application of business concepts.
Dr. Bewaji’s work spans articles on minority entrepreneurship funding, leadership in the African diaspora, and strategic management practices. Her research combines empirical analysis with real-world case studies, reflecting her interest in bridging theory and practice. She actively consults for small entrepreneurial businesses in Jamaica and engages in youth ministry and baking as personal interests.
