Todd Williams is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Grand Valley State University within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He earned his B.A. and Ph.D. (2009) from the University of Alberta, Canada. As co-director of the GVSU Social Cognition Laboratory, his research focuses on metacognition, Machiavellianism, and animal welfare.

Research interests span three primary areas:
- Metacognition of belief change during learning
- Machiavellianism as a multidimensional personality construct
- Quantitative approaches to animal welfare assessment
