Todd Hamrick is a Teaching Professor in the Fundamentals of Engineering Program at West Virginia University's Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources since 2011. His career spans academia and industry, with 22 years of engineering experience before returning to higher education.
- Education: Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; B.A. in German, all from WVU
Hamrick specializes in practical, experience-based learning, innovating fundamental engineering courses with hands-on projects like robotics programming and international study experiences in Germany. He founded the Community Engagement of Science Through Art (CESTA) program, which integrates chemistry, engineering, and art to create educational sculptures. His research interests include engineering pedagogy, renewable energy systems, and STEM outreach.

He actively mentors youth through Boy Scouts, 4-H, and as a mentor for the award-winning FIRST Robotics Team Mountaineer Area Robotics (MARS). Since 2014, he serves as a Morgantown Goodwill City Ambassador.
