Tod McGrath

Tod McGrath is a Lecturer at MIT’s Center for Real Estate and concurrently serves as Vice President of Finance at Boston Properties. His academic role includes teaching Real Estate Ventures I & II for MIT’s Master’s program and Commercial Real Estate Development in the Professional Education Certificate program. He also lectures on negotiating agreements for real estate ventures.

Education: BA in Economics from Columbia College (198X), MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business (199X).

Research interests focus on real estate finance, strategy, and negotiation, supported by his industry experience. His work has been recognized through two Shidler Awards for academic contributions.

Professional background includes leadership at advisoRE, LLC (real estate strategy consulting), McCall & Almy, Inc. (real estate acquisitions/dispositions), and Winthrop Financial Associates (portfolio management for real estate funds).
