- Ph.D. in Sociology, University of Texas, Austin, 2010
Hamilton's current research explores two key areas: (1) labor market differences between black immigrants and black natives, and (2) health selection processes among black immigrants, analyzing how conditions in their countries of origin affect health disparities in the United States. His work highlights the growing demographic and socioeconomic significance of black immigrants and their descendants in shaping perceptions of black population well-being.
