Prof. Tobias Täger is a Senior Physician and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Cardiology, Angiology, and Pulmonology at Heidelberg University Hospital. He leads the Advanced Heart Failure Group and specializes in clinical cardiology with a focus on chronic heart failure management. His research combines prospective clinical projects with analysis of large-scale healthcare databases to improve therapeutic monitoring strategies.
Academically, he has held roles including Oberarzt (Senior Resident) since 2025, and previously served as a Functionsoberarzt (Specialist Senior Resident) from 2017 to 2023. He attained his Habilitation in 2023 with a thesis on 'Complex-statistical approaches to therapeutic monitoring in chronic heart failure patients'.
He holds additional qualifications in Sports Cardiology (2021), Advanced Electrophysiology (2020), and Heart Failure Specialization (2017). He remains actively involved in clinical training and research coordination.
