Tobias Stauber

Tobias Stauber serves as a Tenured Scientist at the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM), part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and holds an Honorary Professorship at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. His research group Novel Platforms and Nano-devices for Quantum Simulation and Computation pioneers theoretical investigations into quantum phenomena in low-dimensional materials, with significant contributions to the understanding of emergent properties in van der Waals systems.

His academic journey includes a Diploma in Physics from the University of Göttingen (1998) and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Heidelberg (2002), followed by postdoctoral work at ICMM-CSIC (2003-2007), a Ciência07 Research Assistant Professorship at the University of Minho (2008-2010), and a Ramón y Cajal Assistant Professorship at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2010-2014).
