Dr. Tobias Schank is a postdoctoral researcher in North American Literary and Cultural Studies at Saarland University. He specializes in border studies, gender/queer studies, film studies, and heavy metal studies. His current research focuses on seascape epistemologies and the American Imaginary. He is affiliated with the UniGR-Center for Border Studies and the interregional Working Group Bordertextures. His work examines hybrid borderlands dynamics, cross-border peripheries, and intermedial adaptations of classic literature.
