Tobias Gutmann

Prof. Dr. Tobias Gutmann is a tenured Associate Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at EBS Business School, leading the Institute for Technology, Innovation & Customer Centricity (TICC) and the Siemens Product Innovation Lab. His research focuses on innovation management in technology-driven transformations, corporate venturing, and strategic innovation. He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, International Management, and a PhD from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, with visiting scholar roles at Copenhagen Business School and UC Berkeley.

His work bridges academia and industry, advising multinational corporations and startups on innovation strategies. Key research areas include corporate venture capital (CVC), sustainability strategies, and innovation ecosystems. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles in top journals like Journal of Business Venturing and Research Policy.
