Tiril Tøien

Tiril Tøien is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Care, Molde University College. Her expertise spans Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Neurophysiology, Strength Training, and Aging. She teaches Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology. Tøien holds a PhD in Health and Social Sciences (2019-2023) from Molde University College, an MSc in Exercise Physiology from NTNU (2014-2016), and a BSc in Sport Science from Anglia Ruskin University (2010-2013). Her research focuses on the physiological adaptations related to aging and exercise, particularly strength training's impact on health and physical function. She is affiliated with the Physiology research group at her institution.
