Tinios Platon is a Professor in the Department of Statistics and Insurance Science at the University of Piraeus, Greece. His work spans social insurance, pension reform, and gender economics, with a focus on crisis-driven policy shifts in Southern Europe. He holds a PhD in Economics from Cambridge University and has held visiting roles at Oxford and LSE.

Recent Publications analyze pension sustainability, crisis resilience, and gender gaps in social protection across Europe, with particular attention to Greece and South Korea. His work appears in journals such as Journal of European Social Policy and Global Social Policy.
