Ting Ye is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington, holding the Genentech Endowed Professorship (2022-23). She is affiliated with the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, the Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences (CSSS), the Cardiovascular Health Research Unit (CHRU), and the Cystic Fibrosis Research Development Program. Her research focuses on advancing statistical methods for clinical trial design, causal inference in biomedical big data, and platform trials, supported by grants from NIH, PCORI, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Education: PhD in Statistics (University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2019); BS in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Zhejiang University, China, 2015).
Research Interests: Covariate adjustment in randomized trials, survival analysis, integrative omics data, and platform trial methodologies. She has developed widely used R packages like RobinCar and RobinCID, and leads the ASA-BIOP Working Group on Covariate Adjustment.
Awards: NIH R35 MIRA (2024), PCORI Award (2024), and recognition for her students' work in ASA competitions.
Grants & Advising: Advises students including Yuhan Qian, Yinxiang Wu, and Marlena Bannick. Active in grant-funded research on causal inference and platform trials.
Professional Roles: Editor for Biometrics, member of the FDA's covariate adjustment advisory group, and collaborator with the Collaborative Health Studies Coordinating Center (CHSCC).
