Anqi Zhao is an Assistant Professor at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and the Department of Statistical Science in Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Harvard University (2016) and a B.S. from Peking University (2010). Her research focuses on causal inference, experimental design, survey sampling, and missing data analysis, with applications in social, biomedical, and business sciences. She has co-authored grants such as the 'Principal stratification methods and software for intercurrent events in clinical trials' (2023–2028).
Her recent work includes studies on covariate adjustment in randomized experiments, rerandomization techniques for covariate balance, and factorial experiments. She teaches DECISION 610: Foundations of Business Analytics at Fuqua. Prior to Duke, she worked at McKinsey & Company and served as an assistant professor at the National University of Singapore.
Key contributions include methodological advancements in split-plot designs, difference-in-differences frameworks, and instrumental variable approaches. Her work emphasizes bridging design-based and model-based causal inference to enhance practical applicability in complex experimental settings.
